Cranes and construction crews are hard at work this winter in Innovation Technology Park with two new facilities under way.
The headquarters building for Rinker Design Associates and NAL Research already is under construction.
Construction of George Mason University’s new residential facility also is under way near the Hylton Performing Arts Center on their Prince William Campus. The new 45,000-square-foot, class A office building that will serve as the shared headquarters for RDA and NAL Research will be completed by the summer of 2012, at which time RDA will occupy the building.
Representatives from both companies said they look forward to their new home in one of the region’s premier business and technology parks.
“For a high-tech company like NAL, there really is no better place to be headquartered,” said Ngoc Hoang, president of NAL Corporation.
“We believe being headquartered in this location will help propel our company to new and exciting business opportunities and help us better serve our existing clientele” said Edward “Jeb” Snider Jr., president of Rinker Design Associates, P.C.
At the same time, one of two new facilities recently announced by George Mason University is under construction. The 106,000square-foot residential building will include 152 apartment style beds in 112 units, student lounge areas, study areas and instructional space. The building also will include 15,000 square feet of retail space that will “expand amenities to the campus and surrounding community” and mark the “first step in creating [the] adjacent town center,” according to the university.
The facility carries a projected cost of $14 million and is slated for completion in late summer, 2012.
