YA HEARD: Nas' newborn comes with hefty price tag

Talk about power attorney! Divorce lawyer Laura Wasser delivered a ruling for her client, stipulating a $40,000-a-month payment for spousal and child support.

Her client is R&B singer Kelis and the sponsor of this $40,000 is Nasir ‘Nas’ Jones. The ruling came a little over a week after the couple gave birth to its first child, coinciding with their divorce proceedings.

Nas’ lawyer suggested the hip-hop legend pay $20,000 a month, but judge Louis Meisinger wasn’t hearing it. Meisinger ruled Kelis is entitled to maintain her marriage lifestyle without actually being married to Nas. Team Nas took some more hits when the judge ruled Nas will also have to pay Kelis’ $45,000 lawyer fees. Ouch. Kelis also has the option to live in the couple’s Los Angeles home, also paid for by ... guess who?

ATLANTA HOUSEWIVES PRESENT NEW MEMBER
One of my favorite TV shows — “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” — will add former Xscape group member Kandi Burruss to its beautiful lineup. Burruss, who is also an accomplished songwriter, will be replacing DeShawn Snow this season. Snow is the wife of former NBA guard Eric Snow. She was cut from the cast when Bravo Network felt she wasn’t a good fit. In other words, Snow came off looking like she actually had some sense.

Fans are already slinging drama Burruss’ way. Burruss is recently engaged to a man who has fathered six children. Burruss told CNN, “[The show] has been very, very stressful on the relationship. I guess [people] couldn’t find anything bad about me, so they wanted to go in on my fiancé.”

It’s always better to watch drama from afar so check out the season premier tonight on Bravo.

MARBURY LOSES MIND FOR WORLD TO SEE
Can anyone tell me what’s up with Stephon Marbury? The NBA guard posted some pretty whacked out video blogs this week and they raise some serious questions about the man’s sanity.

On bizarre post No. 1, the man nicknamed “Starbury” can be seen crying profusely while listening to Gospel music. Adding to the strangeness of this is a man singing in the background who is also consoling the shirtless Marbury. Later in the video Marbury goes on a rant about how he is misunderstood because of where he comes from.

Now I can’t blame the man for having a sensitive moment, but don’t post it for the world to see. And another thing, I understand the whole I’m-from-the-’hood,-so-nobody-understands-me antic, but let’s be for real…he’s from America, nonetheless! If he feels he is still misunderstood at this point in his life, then maybe he should start looking in the mirror instead of in his Web cam. We won’t even get into bizarre post No. 2, in which he swallows Vaseline for a sore throat.
