The DCCA will be holding their annual Awards Banquet today at 7:30 p.m. at VFW Post 1503 on Minnieville Road in Woodbridge. Various awards will be presented, such as Citizen of the Year, the Ernestine Jenkins Award, Teacher of the Year and many more. Please keep your eye out for a list of awardees soon to come.
Valentine's Troubadour
The Bull Run Troubadours want to help you out with your Valentines plans this year. Continuing in their highly popular tradition, they will again deliver surprise singing valentines throughout Prince William County. Filling orders from spouses, sweethearts, admirers or friends.
The quartets arrive unannounced at the office, home or other requested location to sing two popular song choices quartet style and present a card and a silk rose the recipient. What a nice way to say I love you. A portion of the cost is donated to the Prince William charities ACTS and SERVE.

Free tax assistance
Northern Virginia Community College students and faculty members are offering free tax preparation assistance to working families and individual with max incomes of $42,000. The tax preparers are trained and certified by the IRS through Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Programs. The service is offered in partnership with Fairfax County Dept. of Family Services, Volunteer Fairfax and the Northern Virginia CASH Campaign. Appointments are required. Sweethearts contest
Gar-Field High School will once again be hosting their Annual Sweethearts Dance and Cheer Competition. It will take place on Feb. 7 this year.
