Chambers hands out 12 scholarships

The 12 recipients of $1,000 scholarships have been announced by the Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber awarded four scholarships in each of three categories.

In the category of Education, the recipients are:

- Rosa E. Alfara, Gar-Field
- Amy M. Kalajainen, Stonewall Jackson
- Caitlin M. O’Neill, Manassas Park
- Tanya M. Tarnovsky, Osbourn Park

In the category of Leadership, the recipients are:

- Samantha J. Esguerra, Osbourn Park
- Lisa L. Hill, Seton School
- Prabhjot K. Singh, Osbourn
- Letlhogonolo L. Ward, Hylton

In the category of Science/Technology, the recipients are:

- Mishal J. Akbar, Osbourn Park
- Ryan J. Boone, Battlefield
- Danielle E. Coles, Potomac
- Vaidehi Mujumdar, Osbourn

The winners will be honored at the chamber’s annual Education Honor Roll Breakfast on April 28 at 8 a.m. at Heritage Hunt Golf & Country Club.

The cost for members is $30 prepaid or $35 at the door; non-members pay $40.
