City police name slaying suspect
Manassas police are looking for Sebastian Cortez Hernandez, who they believe shot and killed 24-year-old Omar Florencio-Vazquez on May 31 in the 9600 block of Grant Avenue, stated a press release from the Manassas City Police Department.
Police said Vazquez, his two brothers and a cousin walked to the Grant Avenue Shopping Center at 9 p.m. on May 31 and encountered a group of roughly 10 Hispanic men.
Vazquez and those with him left the shopping center after Vazquez recognized members of the group as men who had
assaulted him two weeks earlier, the release stated.
Police said that Hernandez and the group of about 10 followed Vazquez and the others from the shopping center. After leaving the center, Hernandez allegedly shot Vazquez several times.
