County celebrates grads

Last month 30 men and women completed basic police recruit school in Prince William County.
The recruits completed the 24-week session on Dec. 19, learning tactics in all aspects of police work, including classes in firearms, use-of-force decision making, driver training, legal training, patrol techniques, criminal investigation and crash investigation.

Biographies of Basic Recruit School Session 25 Graduates
Jessica L. Artone, 22, is a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in administration of justice. Officer Adams is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.

Ian G. Case, 22, is a graduate of the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in political science. Officer Case is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.

Maria Y. Cervantes, 24, has one child and is a graduate of Gar-Field High School in
Woodbridge, Va. She served in the U.S. Air Force prior to joining the Department. Officer\ Cervantes is assigned to work patrol in western Prince William County.

Frank A. DellaCamera III, 25, is a graduate of North Haven High School in North Haven, Conn. Additionally, he was president of the 25th Session Basic Recruit Class. Sergeant DellaCamera is a military police officer in the Provost Marshal’s Office of the U.S. Marine Corps.

Brendan K. Duffy, 22, is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pa., with a bachelor’s degree in crime, law and justice. Officer Duffy is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.

Brian D. Ferguson, 35, is married with one child and is a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., with a master’s degree in public administration. Lieutenant Ferguson is assigned to the Department of Fire & Rescue, Fire Marshal’s Office.

John G. Franklin, 33, is married with two children and attends Northern Virginia Community College. Officer Franklin is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.

Shawn M. Gallagher, 25, is married and previously served in the U.S. Marine Corps where he was a military police officer and K-9 handler. Officer Gallagher is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.

Daniel F. Gray, 24, is a graduate of Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, W.Va., with a bachelor’s degree in sociology (criminal justice concentration) and a minor in psychology. Officer Gray is assigned to work patrol in western Prince William County.

Matthew J. Greenfield, 34, is married with four children and attends Northern Virginia Community College. Lieutenant Greenfield is assigned to the Department of Fire & Rescue, Fire Marshal’s Office.

Joseph A. Guzdowski, 23, is a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in administration of justice. Officer Guzdowski is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.

David C. Humphries, 40, is married with two children and is a graduate of Radford University in Radford, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Officer Humphries is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.

Tiffany D. Jenkins, 22, is a graduate of Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. Officer Jenkins is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.

Charles E. Kincheloe, 23, attended Potomac State College in Keyser, W.Va. He served in the U.S. Army prior to attending the Academy. Officer Kincheloe is assigned to work patrol in western Prince William County.

Darrell W. Lewis, 24, is a graduate of Greensboro College in Greensboro, N.C., with a
bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Officer Lewis is assigned to work patrol in western Prince William County.

Daniel O. Martin, 26, is married with one child and is a graduate of Park View High School in Sterling, Va. He served in the U.S. Army prior to attending the Academy. Officer Martin is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.

Richard W. McConnaughey, 23, is a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in administration of justice. Officer Lyon is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.

Alexander D. McMillan, 22, is a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in administration of justice. Deputy McMillan is employed by the Prince William County Sheriff’s Office.

Robert J. Mrak II, 23, is a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in administration of justice. Officer Mrak is assigned to work patrol in western Prince William County.

Michael G. O’Neil, 25, is a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., with a
bachelor’s degree in administration of justice. Officer O’Neil is assigned to work patrol in
western Prince William County.

Andrew W. Pittman, 23, is married and is a graduate of Culpeper County High School in
Culpeper, Va. He also attended Eastern Mennonite University. Officer Pittman is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.

Ryan D. Rowland, 23, is a graduate of Longwood University in Farmville, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He is currently enrolled at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., working toward a master’s degree in public administration. Officer Rowland is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.

Donald B. Staton, 38, is married with four children and is a graduate of Culpeper County High School in Culpeper, Va. Deputy Staton is employed by the Prince William County Sheriff’s

Office. Brian C. Stenger, 23, is a graduate of the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Officer Stenger is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.

Ame E. Stevens, 23, is a graduate of the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho, with bachelor’s degrees in criminal justice and in psychology. Officer Stevens is assigned to work patrol in western Prince William County.

Joseph M. Westerman, 27, is married and is a graduate of Milligan College in Milligan College, Tenn., with a bachelor’s degree in communications. Officer Westerman is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.

Robert S. White, 21, is married with one child, and is a graduate of Spotsylvania High School in Spotsylvania, Va. He attends Germanna Community College. Officer White is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.

Ericca K. Wright, 36, is a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in government/international relations. Additionally, she served in the U.S. Army and worked at the Central Intelligence Agency prior to attending the Academy. Officer Wright is assigned to work patrol in western Prince William County.
