Fauquier Bank breaks ground
The Fauquier Bank recently held groundbreaking ceremonies for its relocated Warrenton and new Bristow offices.
The new office in the Bristow Shopping center will be the bank's ninth branch location. Doors are expected to open this spring. This office will be a full-service financial center designed to meet the needs of the families and small businesses in Bristow and the surrounding area.
"We eagerly anticipate opening a new office to serve the Bristow community," said Randy Ferrell, president and CEO. "The branch is strategically located to serve Route 28 commuters and will complement our efforts to meet the banking needs of our customers and prospective customers."
The Bank's View Tree office is moving from its current location at 216 Broadview Ave. in Warrenton to the intersection of Fletcher Drive and U.S. 29. The branch is expected to open in the fall. The new, two-story facility will be a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-Certified Green Building and will include drive-through banking lanes, a free-standing ATM and a drive-through ATM machine. In addition to the banking center, the building will house administrative offices.
"We are pleased to be able to move one of our busiest offices to such a convenient location, establishing the bank's first green branch which we believe is the town's first green building as well.
"The new branch will provide a significant upgrade in convenience to our customers by offering additional parking, a modern lobby and meeting areas, and easier accessibility. Our View Tree branch was originally built in the 1960s and even with several renovations, it does not have the space needed to serve our growing customer base," said Ferrell.
Fauquier Bankshares Inc. and its principal subsidiary, The Fauquier Bank, had combined assets of $499.8 million and total shareholders' equity of $40.6 million on Sept. 30.
