… Deana L. Henry, who has been promoted to the position of assistant director of medicine and oncology services and will be responsible for the Hematology-Oncology Unit, Hospice and Infusion Services at Potomac Hospital, Woodbridge.

Henry has been employed at the hospital for more than 19 years as a staff nurse in the Emergency Care Center and Medicine Oncology Unit and as the director of staff development for nursing. She has an associate’s degree in nursing from Northern Virginia Community College and bachelor’s degree in nursing from George Mason University.

… Heather Bloomquist of Centreville, Patty Little of Fort Belvoir and Marianne Bennett of Triangle, who have become independent consultants with Tastefully Simple Inc., a national direct sales company, featuring easy-to-prepare gourmet products.

… Artist Julia Dzikiewicz, who will present a program on encaustics, a medium that allows her “to use multiple layers of paint to express multiple layers of meaning” at a meeting of the Prince William Art Society on June 17 at the Canterbury Woods Community Center, 121894 Chaucer Lane in Lake Ridge.

The program is free and the public is encouraged to attend. Those interested can see more of Dzikiewicz’s work at her studio at the Workhouse in Lorton.
