Movie night
The Manassas Museum will play host to the Fabulous Films of 1958- “Houseboat” on Friday at dusk (between 8 and 8:30 p.m.).  Bring a blanket and snacks and enjoy this free movie on the museum lawn.

Rivahfest 2008
If you don’t mind a little drive, you might enjoy Rivahfest 2008, scheduled for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in downtown Tappahannock on Prince St. Entry is free but there is a small charge for children’s rides and food. This event is hosted by the Tappahannock-Essex County Chamber of Commerce.
Check out the Arts, Crafts and Antiques section, Children’s Activities area, an expanded Farmer’s Market and the “Treasures of Tappahannock” historic walking tour. Two entertainment stages will feature a wide variety of performers, headlined by Steve Bassett, Ammon Tharpe with the Mystic Soul Bubbas and supported by one of Richmond’s hometown groups, the Janet Martin Band.
There will also be a Maritime Area with boat displays and other nautical activities, an even bigger Antique Car display, and the “Taste of Tappahannock” food area, featuring local seafood and festival favorites.

‘Radio Show’ at Harris Pavilion
The Center for the Arts’ SummerSounds Concert Series opens with a performance by the Manas-sas Community Chorale. This event is sponsored by Micron and the City of Manassas on Satur-day from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Loy E. Harris Pavilion.
The Chorale will reprise its fall concert with music from the 1930s and 1940s in the style of radio broadcasts popular during WWII.

Community Day
The Neighborhood Watch is hosting the 4th annual Community Day at Costello Park on Satur-day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is an opportunity for citizens to come out and meet their neigh-bors and the foundation of the Neighborhood Watch.
