The Commonwealth Community Trust has established the CCT Charitable Fund Award to pro-vide 50 Virginia residents who live with disabilities and who meet federal poverty guidelines a maximum award of $250 for equipment, medication or services.
The Charitable Fund Award was established by the CCT board of directors as part of the organi-zation's mission to enrich the quality of life for individuals living with a disability.
Award application and additional information including frequently asked questions and trust documents are available at commonwealthcommunitytrust.org.
Application for the CCT Charitable Fund Award must be completed and signed by the benefici-ary's advocate, who is either the care manager or another professional. Applications must be submitted by Aug. 1 to one of the following addresses: Commonwealth Community Trust, P.O. Box 29408, Richmond, VA 23242-0408, or .
The applications will be reviewed by a committee, and the advocates will be notified by Sept. 30. The award check will be made payable to a vendor, not to the beneficiary. Call 1-888-241-6039 for more.
County athletic organization seeks volunteer
Prince William County Sports Athletic Organization Inc. has introduced the Prince William Jaguar AAU Boys Basketball Team and the Prince William Lady Jaguar AAU Girls Basketball Team.
The PWCSAO is recruiting more volunteers, including coaches and assistant coaches.
Besides offering boys and girls the opportunity to participate in a sport, PWCSAO's pur-pose is to emphasize the importance of continuing education, teamwork and good sportsman-ship.

Nokesville 4-H
has plenty planned
Nokesville 4-H has lots planned for kids ages 5 to 18:
On July 19, the club will participate in Prince William County's 4-H picnic.
On July 25, members will complete a sailing project.
Aug. 10 to 14 is the PWC fair and camp.
And on Sept. 11, the club will honor current members at the monthly meeting awards ban-quet.
4-H activities include monthly meetings, service projects, field trips and other projects.
