Volunteers needed for Dale Blvd. cleanup
The Neighborhood Leaders Group and members of the Dale City Civic Association will be edging, trimming, sweeping and shoveling curbs and gutters to give Dale Boulevard a clean, neat appearance in advance of the July 4 parade.
The cleaning of Dale Boulevard is the highlight of Neighborhood Pride Week, which is dedicated to showing the more than 10,000 parade visitors that Dale City residents care about their community.
Volunteers will meet at the Dale City Commuter Lot on Saturday and Sunday at 8 a.m. and work all day. Additionally, we will have a crew working a couple of hours each day for the remainder of the week.
Volunteers should wear hats and work gloves, sunglasses and sunblock and bring water. Please bring a tool if you have one. A shovel, string trimmer or a broom are just a few of the things you can bring. Some tools will be available to use if you are unable to provide your own.
Please contact Connie Moser at 703-590-6662 or or Eric Van Nortwick at ed to let us know which days you’ll be able to work.

Here’s a novel idea how about getting the idiots sitting in the PW County jail to get out there or cleaning, mowing the grass and paying for their crimes and wearing a nice striped uniform with a large “P” on front and back
Will there be any graffiti removal as well? In my opinion, that is more important than the string trimming.
