‘Classy Awards’ in Prince William County

Last Thursday, the Prince William County Schools had their “Classy Awards” presentation.  This is the event where awards for education, athletics, arts, leadership, teacher and administrator excellence is recognized. I’m surprised that the newspaper didn’t cover this event. It would have been worth the trouble.

We are in the area to visit our grandchildren while their parents are out of town. As our grand-daughter was one of the honorees, we were privileged to be in the audience. As former teachers, we have been to our share of these kinds of programs. This was the most professionally planned and executed awards presentation we have witnessed! Although a program of this type requires time to present the awards, it moved quickly, while giving the award recipients their due recognition.  The musical presentations, by several of the high school groups, just added to the classiness of the program.

Congratulations to the Prince William County Schools Board of Education, the administration, the teachers, the maintenance staff AND, of course,  the students, for a job well done.

Thanks for highlighting this good news, Mr. and Mrs. Bryant!  Congratulations to your grand-daughter and everyone else who contributed to this excellence!  It’s great to be able to be proud of our schools and students.
