LETTER: Numbers behind the Global Warming bill
Published: June 30, 2009
According to Heritage Foundation, the National Black Chamber of Commerce and the Brookings Institution:
•The unemployment will increase by nearly 2 million in 2012, the first year of the program.
•Total GDP loss by 2035 would be $9.4 trillion.
•The national average debt would balloon as the economy slowed, saddling a family of four with $114,915.
•It would add the equivalent of a $4,609 tax on a family of four by 2035.
•For a household of four, energy costs go up $436 by 2012, and they eventually reach $1,241 in 2035.
•Electricity costs go up 90 percent by 2035.
Global Warming bill will not decrease a single digit in the global temperature for the next 30 years.
It will lead to the outsourcing of jobs due to the increase of energy.
China will be one of the bigger players in the market of greenhouse credit, damaging our weak industry. And also, this bill is not going to reduce the melting of the North Pole ice.

Why am I against global warming?!
Why - are you for global warming?
It certainly looks like the “End of the Earth is here” crowd got your vote, phdee.
Coo-Coo, Coo-Coo…
So Scorpio, global warming will get the votes of the kooks and naive. That being the case, why are you against it?
Four times global warming and three times global freezing in the past 115 years. With the worst global warming in the 1930’s when there were few automobiles - go figure…
Like Charles Reichley rightly says “we can’t get the weather right 12 hours in advance, but supposedly we know it will be 4 degrees hotter in 100 years”
But it works to get the votes of the young, the naive… and the kooks.
