Vote Gerry Connolly in June 10 primaries

With the retirement of the incumbent, those of us voting in the 11th Congressional District will elect a new Congressman this year. Given the domestic problems facing Northern Virginia and the international problems facing the United States, we need a Congressman who understands these problems and with the experience, energy, integrity, vision, intelligence and effectiveness to make a difference.

Of the several candidates for this seat in Congress, Gerry Connolly stands out as the most qualified and best prepared to hold this office.

Gerry Connolly is a Democrat.  As a Democrat, he has a long history of actively supporting civil liberties, human rights, quality health care, improved education and environmental responsibility.  Yet, as demonstrated by his effectiveness as both a member and the chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, he has always been able to form broad coalitions across party lines to address the
issues and solve the problems of the citizens he represents. Gerry Connolly puts people ahead of party.

Gerry Connolly has extensive experience as a successful senior staff member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, as a long term elected official and as an employee of a major corporation
working in community relations. As a result, he understands the public sector at both the federal and the local levels. As a result, he understands the private sector and how it relates to the community at
large. As a result, he understands the international challenges facing the United States today.

Gerry Connolly knows that change is necessary to build a better Northern Virginia, a better America and a better world.  Gerry Connolly knows that change is necessary to undo the mistakes of the Bush administration. Gerry Connolly knows that change is necessary to move from the highly partisan political environment of today to an era of political cooperation and respect.  Gerry Connolly has the experience, vision and intelligence to help determine and implement the changes we need.
