Neighborhood news: Rockledge’s Spring Bazaar is coming

Just around the corner is the "Spring Bazaar," which is being held at Rockledge Elementary School in Lake Ridge on Saturday.

The public is invited, and the bazaar is open from 8 a.m. to noon.

Art fair to be held at Old Bridge Elementary this week

This week, Old Bridge Elementary students will have their artwork on display at the school's Art Fair.

Along with seeing the art displays, guests can also enjoy the music and entertainment from the students' Dolphin choir.

Lake Ridge Middle School students named as part of district choir

Several Lake Ridge Middle School students were selected for All-District Honors Choir. This includes Kat Provost, Ellen Whitmore, Brianna Cotton, Maria Gonzalez, Alex Jimenez, Lorenz Libiran, Michael Samuels, Jeremy Steuart, Jordan Sears, Robert Hines and alternates Anthony Yoswa, Brendan Wiggins, Hannah Montanez and Kristal Cox.

What a wonderful accomplishment for these young music students.

McLain named grand prize winner at Lake Ridge Middle science fair

Congratulations to Jack McLain Jr., whose physics project made him the grand prize winner at this year's Science Fair at Lake Ridge Middle School.

First-place awards at the county's regional science fair went to Ricky Chin for mathematics, and Brian Womeldurf for microbiology.

Annual 'Taste of Lake Ridge' event coming next Tuesday

Everyone is invited to come and enjoy the annual "Taste of Lake Ridge" event, with a variety of food items from local restaurants.

"Taste of Lake Ridge" tickets are 50 cents each, and can be purchased at the event, which will be held at the Tall Oaks community center lot at 12298 Cotton Mill Drive in Lake Ridge. This will be from 4 to 8 p.m. May 19.
