» 0 Comments | Post a Comment

Area football P. A. announcers of all experience will have the opportunity to come together in a classroom setting to learn more about announcing high school football.

The classes, being offered at South County Secondary School in Lorton on August 24 and Centreville High School in Clifton on August 25, include the basics of announcing as well as more advanced topics that may escape the occasional announcer.

All attendees will receive sample P. A. announcements they can use this season, officials signals sheets, a guide on announcing football and an audio CD with sample announcements.

Teaching the class will be Jarrod Wronski, who has been announcing sports on all levels for 18 years and is the voice of the Maryland Crab Bowl, and annual high school football all-star game played at Towson University.

Cost is $50 per person, high school students receive a 50% discount.  More information and sign up information is available at http://www.SportsAnnouncing.com.
