Manassas Team To Walk for Lupus

Manassas resident Stephanie Mahoney has formed a team to attend the Walk for Lupus Now event at Richmond International Raceway. On October 31, 2009 the Butterfly Kisses Team will show thier support for Stephanie and the many other Virginia residents who live with Lupus.
Lupus is an acute and chronic (lifelong) autoimmune disease in which the immune system is unbalanced, causing inflammation and tissue damage to virtually every organ system in the body. November 2008 marked 50 years since a drug has been approved for the treatment of lupus.
