» Signature Theatre gives you a chance to see two new musicals just as they're being hatched, so to speak. As part of the Signature Lab 21/24 program, two sets of composers, writers and actors have spent 21 days putting concert versions of the two musicals on their feet. » Wolf Trap moves from classical to classic over the next several days. The National Symphony Orchestra teams with the Washington Chorus to present "Carmina Burana" today. The symphony returns Friday to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the release of "The Wizard of Oz." The legendary film will be shown on a huge screen, while the NSO plays the movie's musical score live.

» Gordon Lightfoot's silky baritone graces the Filene Center on Sunday. ABBA-The Music, featuring the male members of the phenomenally popular quartet, arrives on July 28 and Tom Jones sings and dodges all sorts of flying objects on July 29.

» The Birchmere music hall in Alexandria welcomes jazz fusion supergroup Hiroshima tonight, and the ex-Blasters front man Dave Alvin is joined by the Guilty Women for a show on Saturday. Eric Weisberg and the Morrison Brothers share the stage as part of the hall's Spotlight series on Sunday.

» Nissan Pavilion hosts country star Brad Paisley on Saturday, art rockers Depeche Mode on July 28 and Nickelback on July 29.
