Lil Mama’s actions at VMAs unacceptable
OK, now that the Kanye-Swift issue is beginning to die down, the time has come to get on another celebrity that got out of pocket during last week’s Video Music Awards.
Can someone please explain to me why Lil’ Mama jumped onstage at the end of Jay Z and Alicia Keys set? In case you missed it, this D-list celebrity from New York claimed that the song performed by
Jay and Keys, “Empire State of Mind,” made her so prideful that she jumped onstage in excitement. Forget her fake explanation, the move was as corny as one can get. Her actions were nothing more
than an attempt to align herself with the creative genius of two legendary artists.
The messed up part about all of this is that this kind of nonsense happens every day. You know the guy at work who is the loudest one when it comes to accepting credit, but puts in the least amount of
work? Or the girl that wants to “report” the research of others? Mama’s move epitomized all the credit-taking, no-work-doing people in the world. So cheers to all of the everyday Jay Z and Alicia Keys in
the world. Let’s get the Lil’ Mamas on up outta here!
President Obama and his right-hand man . . . the camera!
President Barack Obama has been in office a mere eight months and it already seems as if he is in his second term. I don’t think I would be alone in saying that this is the most media-covered public
official that I have ever witnessed in my lifetime.
Scandals and conspiracies aside, this man is on television, radio and computer screens more times a day than John, Kate, all eight, and Visa combined. This comes as no surprise as the nation’s first
African-American president was bound to turn heads.
However, it doesn’t help when he is on Letterman, Leno, the Major League Baseball All-Star game, filling out his bracket on ESPN and meddling in all sorts of common quarrels among the masses.
Now there is no one that is happier than I to see President Obama in office, and I love the common traits he has brought to the White House, but I must say that it’s beginning to get a little out of hand. It
seems as if the president is being paraded in front of cameras as some sort of reality show personality. This is the president and even though he has been right, I don’t want to hear my president touching
on Kanye West and other petty issues. ‘Till next week, Peace!!!
