Although we received great photos, two tied for first-place in the InsideNoVA Jack-o-Lantern contest.
Pumpkin Scarecrow! submitted by user ‘a2damc’ and The Scream submitted by user ‘Alex’ tied for first place to win a family four-pack to Old Mine Ranch.
Congratulations to everyone who submitted their photos in the Jack-o-Lantern contest. All the photos will be published in Sunday’s Life Section of the News & Messenger. Earlier in October, we asked readers to submit their spooky or sweet carved Jack-o-Lantern photos to our SNAP! gallery and we received several photos in response. View the the gallery here.

I think the scarecrow Jack-o-Lantern should be disqualified seeing as how the design is from a Jack-o-Lantern carving book.
