Juvenile charged in attack on pizza driver
Four men came to the aid of a pizza delivery man who was beaten with glass bottle.
The 42-year-old man was attacked while delivering a pizza in the 13300 block of Maple Leaf Lane in Woodbridge on Sunday, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman, in a released statement.
The exact time of the attack was not provided. Hernandez said the man was struck on the head with the bottle, then was kicked and punched after he fell to the ground.
The attacker demanded money from the man. Four unidentified men, two who were 18 and two who were 19-years-old, helped the victim.
The victim was treated at a local hospital and released. A 17-year-old was charged with the robbery. The juvenile took the victim’s wallet and an undisclosed amount of cash.
The juvenile was treated for a laceration he received on his right hand during the robbery. He is being held without bond in the Juvenile Detention Center and has a court date of Nov. 24.
Lake Ridge man arrested for shooting BB gun
A Lake Ridge man was arrested for shooting a BB gun from his bedroom window.
George Karavatas, 53, of 2065 Mayflower Drive, was charged with reckless handling of a firearm, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman, in a written statement.
No one was injured. He has a court date set for Nov. 24.
Philadelphia man faces drugs charges
A Philadelphia man was charged with reckless driving and possession of drugs with the intent to distribute. Police stopped the man while driving in the area of Joplin Road and Interstate 95 in the Triangle area on Thursday around 10:30 p.m., said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman, in a released statement.
A search of the car yielded amphetamine and methamphetamine. Gordon Wayne Randall, 33, of Philadelphia, Pa., was held of $15,000 bond and has a court date of Nov. 17.
