Police want help identifying CVS thief

Manassas police are searching for a man who has stolen two televisions from city CVS stores.

The first incident happened Sept. 13 at 9:55 a.m. at the store at 9200 Centreville Road. The second larceny happened Sept. 20 at the store at 9972 Liberia Ave.

In both cases, the man walked into the store and walked out with a Craig LCD HD television. Each television is valued at $600.

The thief is black, 40 to 55 years old, about 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a gray goatee. He is also described as balding. In both cases, the man wore a white T-shirt, dark shorts and black tennis shoes.

Police have released surveillance footage and still images in hopes of identifying the man.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 703-257-8042 or 703-257-8000. Manassas Crime Solvers will pay a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. The confidential 24-hour tip line is 703-330-0330.

When viewing this video, pay attention to a couple of things not mentioned in the description given.

Pay attention to his gait, (the way he walks) out-toed, toes pointing outwardly more than usual.

It would also seem that he favors his left hand, (unless he was reserving his right hand for possible weapon use)

someone will recognize him.

I think it is so awesome that you are working with police to help stop crime with photos and videos.What a wonderful way to involve the community in helping stop crime.
