Man charged with stabbing woman

A Gainesville man was charged with malicious wounding after police said he stabbed a woman in the leg.

The 24-year-old victim was involved in an argument with her attacker about 5 a.m. Tuesday. Police were called to the 7600 block of Old Linton Hall Road in Gainesville to investigate after the woman was reportedly stabbed, said Prince William police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez .

She was treated at a local hospital for her injuries.

Robert Darvin Prevost, 23, was charged in the incident. He was held without bond and is scheduled to appear in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

Three teens attacked at school, police say

Police obtained petitions for the arrest for two 16-year-old boys and one 17-year-old boy - all from Woodbridge - after they said they got off a school bus and assaulted and robbed another boy.

The boys got off the bus at New Directions School, in the area of Rixlew Lane and Ashton Avenue near Manassas at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, and then attacked three other students, said Prince William police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez.

The victims range in age from 15 to 17.

During the assault, one of the victims was robbed of his sunglasses and iPod, said Hernandez. The victims were not injured during the assault, she added.

The three boys are all scheduled to appear in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

Prince William police reported the following incidents:

Bristow

- Masonry tools, a backpack, an extension cord and a battery charger, all valued at $1,100, were stolen from the 1200 block of Vint Hill Road between 9 a.m. Oct. 12 and 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Haymarket

- A microwave, dishwasher and a stove, all valued at $1,750, were stolen from a house that is under construction in the 6800 block of Orrington Lane between 4 p.m. Oct. 9 and 7 a.m. Oct. 12.

- A GPS unit, valued at $600, was stolen from a car parked in the 2200 block of Gore Drive between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Manassas

- A cell phone, iPod and a GPS unit were stolen from two cars that were broken into between 9 a.m. Oct. 10 and 12:21 p.m. Oct. 11. The cars were parked in the 7300 block of Sheraton Drive.
The stolen property is valued at $300.
