A Stafford man was set up and robbed in Woodbridge early Monday after watching a football game with a woman he’d met two weeks ago, police said.

When the group got to Woodbridge, the woman pulled behind a restaurant and slowed down and then one of the men riding along pointed a gun at the victim. The victim was robbed of his jacket, wallet and cell phone and ordered out of the car, Hernandez said. The trio then drove away.

While not against Conceal/Carry… One needs to be VERY aware of his/her surroundings. I liken it to being on Yellow Alert. Also, be aware of the communities you’re in. Have a plan to deter and an escape route. When all else fails, aim true.

I’d have to go with the gun. It’s legal to carry it out in the open. Mace you’d have to keep in your pocket probably, and could get charged for a concealed weapon.

Concealed carry permits are easy to get in VA.

But, I would recommend carrying 15% pepper gas (or Mace, if you could get it).

These sort of attacks seem on the increase.
