Argument escalates into reported assault
A Woodbridge man was arrested after he got into a fight with another man, punching him in the face and kicking him in the back, police said.
Lawry Michael Price, 28, of 14505 Colchester Road, was charged with assault and battery, according to Prince William County Police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez.
The incident occurred around 6:50 p.m. Tuesday in the 14600 block of Jefferson Davis Highway. Price and the victim were involved in an argument that escalated. The victim sustained minor injuries, Hernandez said.
Price was released on a $2,000 unsecured bond. The court date was not available.
Triangle men punished after good deed
Two Triangle men stopped along Va. 234 to offer assistance to another man, who then attempted to rob them.
The 28-year-old and 30-year-old were in the 18000 block of Va. 234 around 1:35 a.m. Friday when they saw what they thought was a man waving to them for help, according to Prince William County Police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez.
After they stopped their vehicle and approached the man, he swung an unknown object at them and demanded money. The victims fought the man and drove away from the scene, she said. Police broadcast a "look out" and two patrol officers located the man.
Tyreek Marsell Ware, 25, of 315 Broadway St., Quantico, was arrested for attempted armed robbery. He was treated at a local hospital for injuries. Ware was transported to the County Adult Detention Center. Bond and court date information were not available, according to Hernandez.
Man faces charges in restaurant incident
Around 1:10 a.m. Friday in the 12400 block of Dillingham Square in Lake Ridge, police responded to a complaint of an intoxicated man yelling at customers in a restaurant.
Osita Chukwuma Dike, 26, of 4506 Kendall Drive in Woodbridge, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, assault and battery and being intoxicated in public, according to Prince William County Police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez.
Dike approached a 26-year-old woman from behind and grabbed her at the waist, police said. The woman pushed him away and was not injured. When the officers arrived and notified Dike that he was under arrest, he resisted.
Bond and court date information was not available.
Woodbridge man robbed after work
A 30-year-old Woodbridge man had returned from work to the 1900 block of Stevens Road around 12:45 a.m. Thursday and was walking to his apartment when four people came up and punched him, according to Prince William County Police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez.
The man tried to get away but was pulled back and beaten more. His backpack, wallet and cell phone were taken from him.
The victim's backpack was recovered near the scene. He sustained minor injuries during the robbery.
The suspects are described as four black males, between 16 and 25 years old, about 5 foot 11 inches tall and all wearing dark-colored clothes, Hernandez said.

Woodbridge
* A 21-year-old Woodbridge man reported that he was assaulted around 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the 14100 block of Essex Drive in Woodbridge. The man said he was hit repeatedly in the face by someone he did not know. He received minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
* An iPod, a digital camera, a camcorder and cash were reported stolen between 9:50 a.m. and 3:05 p.m. Wednesday in the 1900 block of Teasel Court in Woodbridge. A door was forced to get into the house.
* A 2000 Chevy 3500 white van valued at $5,000 reportedly was stolen between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday from the 2300 block of West Longview Drive in Woodbridge. The victim, who parked in front of his residence, also reported his construction tools were stolen. The total value of the property is $11,000.
