Prince William police charged four people in a string of unrelated Woodbridge area burglaries yesterday.

When officers arrived they found a 16-year-old girl inside the house that was being burglarized, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman, in a released statement.

A motorcycle helmet and a hammer were stolen from the house.

Police learned the girl lived in Woodbridge and were also able to identify another male suspect involved with the break-in—Edgard Hernesto Cruz, 18, of 1712 Florida Ave. in Woodbridge.

They found two men trying to break into a house, Hernandez said. The two men ran but police were able to chase them on foot and arrest them.
