Christmas basket gets $645 boost

Paul Jr. and Betty Buchanan of Prince William donated $250; Gabriele Hale of Woodbridge donated $50 and Cecelia McKeever of Woodbridge sent $20.
Shirley and Jonathan Way of Manassas donated $100 and sent a note: “To help support all the good you and the Salvation Army do.”
One anonymous gift came with a note: “A Lake Ridge Couple makes a $100 donation in memory of Mary Negrelli.“
Col. William (Ret) and Barbara Stubbs of Woodbridge sent $125 with a note: “We make this donation in memory of Ronald Rogers of Rogers Brothers, Inc. and Jean and James Smith, in the hope that it might bring some small measure of comfort to others in these difficult times. Bill and Barbara Stubbs.”

Donations can be brought to the News & Messenger offices on Smoketown Road in Woodbridge and Church Street in Manassas. You may also mail checks to the News & Messenger, Attn: Christmas Basket, P.O. Box 431, Manassas, VA 20110.
All donations to the Christmas Basket go directly to the Prince William County Corps of the Salvation Army.
