County schools receive $27,000 from AFCEA

Prince William County Public Schools' Office of Science and Family Life Education has received a gift of $27,000 from the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association.

The gift provides funding toward the purchase of technology and equipment to be used in the science departments of 15 county schools.

Loch Lomond, Neabsco, McAulliffe and Rockledge elementary schools will each receive $1,500. Graham Park, Rippon, Woodbridge and Potomac middle schools will each receive $2,000.

PACE West, Porter Traditional, and Pennington School will each receive $1,000. Woodbridge, Freedom, Stonewall Jackson and Gar-Field high schools will each receive $2,500 to purchase technology and equipment for their science departments.

The schools were formally acknowledged at Wednesday's meeting of the AFCEA.
