Guns stolen in Manassas burglary

Six guns, a camera and a jar of loose change were stolen in a burglary in the 9500 block of Harvest Place in Manassas on Monday.

The burglary happened between 5:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., police said.

The 44-year-old victim reported that he came home from work to find a basement window smashed out.

A 1851 Navy Revolver, two 44-caliber Colt revolvers, a 45-caliber Colt pistol, a 9mm Sig Sauer, a 9mm Smith & Wesson pistol, a Nikon camera and a jar of loose change were stolen.

The items and cash taken were valued at over $3000.

The Manassas City Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward up to $1000 for information that leads to an arrest in the cases. The confidential 24-hour tip line is 703-330-0330.

If you can afford all those guns,why in the world would you not put some money into buying a safe to put them in?My husband is a firearms instructor and would be the first one to tell you.I hope they catch the people who took those guns,but they were probably sold the same day.
