Nearly everyone probably has an antique, art or collectible item around their house and often wonder its worth.

They can find out on Sunday during an "Oldies Event" at the new PNC Bank Manassas Crossroads Branch.

Three worthologists from WorthPoint, the premier website for art, antiques and collectibles will evaluate items both to the bank from 1 to 4 p.m. at 7800 Sudley Road, across from the Bull Run Shopping Center.

Event parking will be at the Skate-N-Fun Zone with trolley service to and from the branch.

Beginning at 1 p.m. the bank staff will be handing out envelopes containing either a $1, $5, $10, $20, $50 or $100 dollar bill to the first 50 guests.

The event will also feature an antique car show, ice cream sundaes, face painter, moon bounce, a drawing to win a Mac Air Notebook, a DJ playing oldies music and the Skate-N-Fun Zone mascot "Kooky Bird."

Art, antiques and collectibles enthusiasts are encouraged to bring their treasures—anything from furniture, furnish-ings and folk art to historic books, sports memorabilia, coins and stamps and have then evaluated by the wortholo-gists.

WorthPoint worthologists are men and women with expertise and a passion for art, antiques and collectibles. Their backgrounds include auctioneering, appraising, publishing, teaching and consulting. What all of them have in com-mon is their ability to determine their history, significance and worth.

Those who will be at the bank on Sunday are:

Pattie has taught college courses on appraising antiques, has been a licensed auctioneer for 35 years, is a qualified expert witness in his field, and is a member of the National Auctioneers Association and the Virginia Auctioneers Association.

• Andra Blevins, a Manassas appraiser who specializes in art pottery, American and Colonial glass, china and porce-lain. Blevins currently sells antiques through shows, galleries and the Internet. She has been an active eBay seller since 1998. She also enjoys appraising antiques both privately and for the Manassas Museum where she has also lectured on antique American glass.

• Tom Carrier, a Strasburg collector with a long-time interest in vexillology, the science and historical study of flags and seals. Carrier is the founding president of the Chesapeake Bay Flag Association. He has led the U. S. Secret Service and the White House curator on guided tours of the White House to tell the story of the flag and seal of the President of the United States. His presidential and flag collections can be seen at the Great Strasburg Emporium in Strasburg.
