N.Y. men charged with shoplifting

Two New York men were charged Tuesday with grand larceny and possession of burglarious tools, according to Prince William County police spokeswoman Sharon Richardson.

The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. at a store in the 13700 block of Foulger Square in Woodbridge. Police responded to a shoplifting call and arrested Levan Abramyan, 58, and Tenguiz Chikvashvili, 53, both of Forest Hills, N.Y.

Store employees reported seeing the two men taking jewelry, wallets, fragrances, ties and other merchandise and placing them into bags. They left the store without paying for the items, which totaled $319, police said.

Store employees detained the men and called police. Both men were held on a $10,000 secure bond. Each has a court date of Jan. 15.

Triangle woman faces theft charge

Teresa E. Anderson, 46, of 18628 Amidon Ave. in Triangle, was arrested on charges of grand larceny Tuesday, according to Prince William County police spokeswoman Sharon Richardson.

The incident occurred around 5:25 p.m. at a store in the 17000 block of Jefferson Davis Highway.

Police responded to a shoplifting call and arrested Anderson. She was seen by store employees taking curtains, sheets and other housewares and placing them into bags.

She left the store without paying for the items, which totaled $279, according to police. Store employees detained her and called police.

She was held on a $5,000 secure bond. Information on a court date was not available.
