Police search for gunmen involved in home invasion
Manassas police are searching for three gunmen in a home invasion robbery Thursday night.
Police say two of the victims, a 35-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, were confronted by the trio when they pulled in front of their house in the 8700 block of Ditmars Court at about 9:30 p.m.
The robbers demanded money, assaulted the male victim and forced the couple into their house, police said.
Once inside, the robbers confronted a 54-year-old woman and demanded money from her, as well.
The culprits took wallets, credit cards, cash, jewelry and computer equipment before fleeing in a car.
The three were described as black, in their 20s, with braided hair. They all wore black clothing.
The victims reported that they did not recognize their attackers.

I’m so tired of these things happening.Even if you call 911,whatever is going to happen,happens in the first 5 to 10 minutes,so we need to be able to defend ourselves.Get a self defense dvd,flood lights to come on for any movement in your yard,door and window alarms,motion detectors,all cheap at Walmart.Actually a security system,but how many can actually afford monthly security?In this situation,you’d have to look around you before you get out of the vehicle.Even then they were probably hiding in wait and if guns are on you and your family,you’d have to have a cell to dial 911 real quick or try to get back in the car.They probably didn’t have a chance to do anything in this instance.But,our legal system is failing us,these people get off or out of jail and really don’t have repercussions of thier actions and they know it.Make the laws tougher.But here,you have a man and his wife with three men and guns on them,hand them your wallet,try to dial 911 and start screaming for neighbors to help.Criminals hate exposure,lighting and noise is thier enemy.Wives need to learn to kick butt too,it’s time to fight back anyway we can.
