Honor fallen member
The American Legion, Post 364, encourages the public to start now and support the Wreaths Across America pro-gram.
Since 1992, Morrill Worcester, a wreath maker from Harrington, Maine, has donated and placed 5,000 wreaths each year on headstones at Arlington National Cemetery. For many years this has been an annual mission for the Worces-ter family.
In 2005 a picture of those wreaths circulated on the internet. In 2006, a non-profit group, Wreaths Across America, was formed to see this event emulated at other national and state veteran's cemeteries.
Dec. 12 has been designated as National Wreaths Across America Day. You may participate in several ways.
Sponsor a wreath, donate, purchase a pin or choose other ways to become involved by making a small effort before the holiday season.
Access Wreath sAcrossAmerica.org for more information, or contact the American Legion Post 364 at 703-398-7181.
