Birchdale Recreation Center located at 14730 Birchdale Ave. in Dale City, will host Mother's Mart, a flea market for gently-used children's items, on Nov. 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This first-time event will give parents the opportunity to sell outgrown clothes and toys as well as buy items at reasonable prices. The market is free for shoppers. However, a vendor's space costs $15 and must be reserved in advance. For more information, please call 703-670-9118 or e-mail .

Celebrating God and Country

The Bull Run Troubadours (Barbershop Chorus and Quartets), the Prince William County Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, will present music honoring God and country Nov. 7, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 5640 Hoadly Road in Manassas.

There will be two performances: a matinee from 2 to 4 p.m. and an evening show from 7 to 9 p.m. Admission is $10 per person and $8 per person for seniors and students. The performance will honor those who served in past wars or are presently serving their country in current conflicts. A group from the Wounded Warriors at Quantico Marine Base is expected to be in attendance.

Harvest Bazaar and Craft Show

Don't miss the 11th Annual Harvest Bazaar and Craft Show sponsored by Holy Family Youth Ministry on Nov. 7 and 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the gym at Holy Family Catholic Church, 14160 Ferndale Road in Dale City.  You will find crafters and vendors with great holiday and gift items.  Take a chance on a raffle, enjoy face-painting, music and delicious food at the GodBucks Café. All proceeds will benefit the Holy Family Youth Ministry.

Open house

Pope John Paul the Great Catholic High School will hold an open house Nov. 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. The community is invited to tour the state-of-the-art classrooms and athletic facilities and meet the faculty and staff.  Attendees will also learn more about the school's unique bioethics program, it's accredited college prep curriculum, including AP and honors courses, and it's competitive athletic program. Information on tuition assistance and transportation options will also be available.
