The Dale Service Corporation will hold a public hearing on a sewer rate increase for Dale City residents Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Tyler Building in Richmond.

For those who can’t make it down, the hearing will be webcast on scc.virginia.gov. Those interested in submitting a comment via telephone have to call before 10 a.m. on Thurs-day. Dial 866-842-5779 and enter the passcode 804-371-9406.

The Dale Service Corporation filed an application for an expedited increase in rates with the State Corporation Commission, seeking an approximately 9 percent increase in billed sewer rates. The Prince William Board of County Supervisors responded by adopting a resolution July 21 opposing Dale Service Corporation’s rate increase.

For those who don’t have access to a phone or need assistance with dialing in, come to the Birchdale Recreation Center by 9:30 a.m.

This is ridiculous! In the past 4 years, the sewer rate has gone from $34.00 per quarter to the now proposed $127.00 per quarter!
You can also go to the Woodbridge Senior Center for assisted calls to protest the hearing.
More details ...visit pwcgov.org, type Dale Service increase in the search box.
