Man charged in pantless exposures
Jesse Ellyson
Police said Jesse Brian Ellyson had no pants on when he approached two girls in Lake Ridge and asked them for directions earlier this month.
Now he is wearing jailhouse jumpsuit.
Ellyson was arrested Monday after police said he exposed himself to two 13-year-old girls on Thursday in the area of Cotton Mill Drive and Hedges Run Court in Lake Ridge.
On June 20, police say Ellyson was in the same area again — this time without pants — and approached a 14-year-old and 15-year-old girl.
He asked the girls for directions and exposed himself, then made lewd gestures toward them, said Prince William police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez.
And on June 3, a 17-year-old girl who was walking on Darbydale Avenue near Eastman Drive in Dale City became a victim when police allege Ellyson exposed himself to her.
Ellyson, 40, of 4610 Hamilton Drive in Dale City, has been charged with two counts of taking indecent liberties with children and three counts of indecent exposure, Hernandez said.
Ellyson was held with no bond and is scheduled to appear in a Prince William County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
Ellyson is a known violent sex offender, according to the Virginia State Police.
He was convicted on Jan. 25, 2001 for taking indecent liberties with children, according to their sex offender registry.
Police are still looking into other cases where people have reported that a man has harassed others with sexual or lewd comments or behaviors.
Police said a boy exposed himself to a 33-year-woman and an 8-year-old girl on June 3 while they were on a walking path behind some houses in Lake Ridge.
The boy came up to them, near the 12700 of Ripple Creek Court, and asked for their help in putting a turtle that he found back into the woods.
After they both agreed the boy then walked away, turned around and shouted at them. When they turned and looked, both saw that he had pulled down the front of his shorts.
He then jumped onto a silver-colored bike and rode away.
The day before, police said a man walked up to the front door of a Lake Ridge home, in the 3500 block of Golf Side Circle, and harassed a 28-year-old woman inside.
The man knocked on the door just prior to midnight, but the woman didn’t answer because she didn’t recognize him.
The man then went to her window and knocked on it, police said.
The woman eventually answered the door and then the man began asking questions and exhibiting lewd behavior.

Correction:
Police did not say if Ellyson got out of his car when he allegedly exposed himself to the victims.

drf71, have you notified the proper authorities as to all the information you know on this ‘character’? Might be an excellent idea!! Your information might just be all they need to put him ‘behind bars’ for a long time.
“Smith” I’m not following your comment all I did was ask why he was being arrained in Juvenile court. The remainder of my post (the information your refer too?) was a direct quote out of the online newspaper.
Either way I hope past behavior is considered in sentencing.
M-I-L, I do agree that no harm should come to your grandchildren or daughter. I would hope that anyone who even entertained such a notion would be punished.
What the son in law did should not impact how his family is treated.
Sissy, I think the punishment should fit the crime. We are a nation of laws.
‘I feel that the address should have not been printed in the paper and if any harm comes to my family. They’ll have ME the Mother-In-Law to deal with!!!‘
You have got to be kidding? The Address WAS GIVEN BECAUSE HE IS A VIOLENT CONVICTED SEX OFFENDER that EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THE AREA HAS EVERY RIGHT TO KNOW WHERE THIS PUKE LIVES ... NOT TO BRING HARM TO HIS UNFORTUNATE CHILDREN BUT TO PROTECT ALL CHILDREN THAT HE COULD AND HAS BROUGHT HARM TO!
It has been and remains my observation/ experience with these low-life useless pieces of flesh… THERE IS NO, NONE, NOTTA… REHABILITATION that works… If FOUND GUILTY HE SHOULD REMAIN IN PRISON THE REST OF HIS LIFE, TRACKED LIKE AN ANIMAL OR WORSE. Rights for his family yes! FOR HIM ... NO WAY! ABSOLUTE ZERO TOLLERANCE FOR CRIMES AGAIST CHILDREN!
Actually, you should hope that the fathers and brothers of some of the females who were accosted didn’t find your son in law before he was arrested.
Sometimes people aren’t who we think they are, I am sorry to say.
The way to have your address not printed is not to expose yourself to children. The son in law should have thought of that and the damage he was doing to his family. He is the one who bears the entire responsibility.
The person described in this article doesn’t even sound like the man I know as my son-in-law. He has always been a good father to my wonderful two grandchildren and husband to my daughter. I’m sorry that he has brought harm to anyone, but no harm should come to his family either.
I feel that the address should have not been printed in the paper and if any harm comes to my family. They’ll have ME the Mother-In-Law to deal with!!!

Put him in with the general population. LOL Chris Cummings
this is the kind of person that makes me paranoid to let my girls outside. i use to live next to him and after the first offense i stop letting my daughter outside when he was out. he has at least 2 small children and its just aweful that they are suppose to be in the care of this man and their mother that tolerates this. i wish there was a special place to take this man where someone can TEACH him a real lesson!
I agree with alfonso.. get this freak in rehabilitation in a southern Virginny prison. I wonder what Stonewall Jackson or A.P. Hill would have done with em?
I will not be surprised at all if pornography has been a major part of this freak’s life as in most of the sex crimes.
