Congratulations to the following seven senior choral students at Hylton High School who were selected for the 2009 Virginia Senior Honors Choir: Jessica Brown, Chris Bubenhofer, Megan Castell, William Hay, Ethan Murphy, Caitlin Roberton and Leanna Smithberger. This is the most competitive choir audition in the state and Hylton High School had the highest number of students selected of any high school in Prince William County.

Brown and Smithberger tied for the top score in the entire state on their voice part. The Hylton High School Choir is under the direction of Mr. Tommy Tutwiler.

Project Mend-A-House

Project Mend-A-House’s Fall Yard Sale takes place Saturday, Oct. 24 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Prince William County Landfill, 14811 Dumfries Road in Manassas.

Local builders from the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association and other construction businesses and private citizens have donated their excess inventories which have been deeply discounted, so you can expect to find great deals on windows, doors, cabinets, office and home furniture, etc. For more information on Project Mend-A-House, please visit http://www.pmahweb.org or call 703-792-7663.

Until next week.
