Police are searching for two gunmen who forced their way into a Dale City home late Friday and shot two men.

The victims, one 25 years old and the other 33, suffered life-threatening injuries and were flown by helicopter to local trauma centers after the 11:20 p.m. attack in the 14700 block of Elmira Court in Dale City, said Prince William County police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez.

Police were called to the house in the Darbydale section of Dale City at 11:23 p.m. for a report of a shooting in progress. Hernandez said the gunmen kicked open the front door of the house, ordered everyone inside onto the floor and shot the two victims.

The culprits are still on the loose. One is described as black with reddish hair and freckles. The other was also black and has a goatee and sideburns.

Hernandez said it appears the victims and the gunmen knew each other.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call police at 703-792-6500 or Crime Solvers at 703-670-3700. Callers don’t have to give their names, just the information. Tips leading to arrest could earn a cash reward of up to $1,000.

They need to get rid of the drug flow, the only way is for citizens to help by reporting drug activity in neighborhoods.Dale City is one of the worst areas this side of Woodbridge. It needs to be cleaned up.Neighborhood watches should be established or at least have police investigate when you continually call them about drug/party houses in neighborhoods.
People need to spend the money on door and window alarms,$20 at Walmart and a deadbolt. For $20 you can also get a motion detector for at night.People don’t lock thier car doors and leave items in there to attract thieves.I went online to get a sex offender list for RSOs in my area and I’m surrounded.Children are left alone outside and running in the stores by themselves.Police need to keep thier site updated for any fugitives being looked for currently. It’s not always updated.

As stated earlier,  PW County is getting to be PG County…..a combat zone. Soon the 7-11’s will be installing the bullet proof glass.  Already the banks are going to the glass.  Can you blame them?  I’m enrolling my kids in a fire arms class where they will learn the proper way to handle and shoot a gun and when they are old enough they will carry an unconcealed weapon for personal protection.

Dale City…...a friendly town.  A good town to raise a family.  A God fearing town.
