» Friday and Saturday: Haunted Museum Lock-Ins and its Haunted Heights Ghost Walks are held Friday and Saturday nights. For reservations, contact Historic Dumfries, Virginia at 703-221-2218.
» Saturday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Dumfries Farmers' Market will be at the Dumfries United Methodist Church. In addition to fresh produce, the market will feature craft booths, gourmet items, music, children and youth activities, pony rides and more.
» Saturday, 1 to 4 p.m.: The Fall Fest will be held in the Southbridge community.
» Saturday, 1 to 3 p.m.: An art class will take place at the Dumfries Community Center. Those interested should contact Peggy Lusk at 703-670-4127.
» Tuesday, 10 a.m. to noon: Caseworkers for U.S. Rep. Rob Wittman, R-1st, will be at the Dum-fries Community and Cultural Arts Center, next to the Dumfries Town Hall, to address constitu-ents' concerns.
» Wednesday, 5 to 8:30 p.m.: Book Fair Night will be held at Mary Williams Elementary School.

The Prince William County Sports Athletic Organization, Inc. (PWCSAO) will be announcing the 2009-2010 Prince William Jaguars Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Basketball Fall Try-Outs for Boys Basketball Try-Outs on October 31, and November 1, 2009.
This basketball try-out is for 9U up to 14U for boys for trying out to join the Prince William Jaguars AAU Boys Basketball Team.

AAU BASKETBALL TRY-OUTS
The Prince William Jaguars AAU Basketball Try-Outs will be held at the Dr. A.J. Ferlazzo Building which is located 15941 Donald Curtis Drive at Woodbridge, Virginia. The cost of registration is $25.00 per candidate covers all of these try-outs. Please arrive 15 minutes before basketball try-outs to register. Please make a check payable to The Prince William Jaguars AAU Basketball Team. The Prince William Jaguars AAU Boys Basketball Team and the Prince William Lady Jaguars AAU Girls Basketball Team in every age group will participate to play the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) 2009 -2010 Season tournament games. PRINCE WILLIAM JAGUARS AAU BASKETBALL TEAMS
MISSION, VISION AND GOALS
The Prince William Jaguars AAU Basketball Team is part of the Prince William County Sports Athletic Organization, Inc. under the tax-exempt, non-profit 501-c3 organization, and Virginia Non-Stock Corporation which was formed under Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) as a County Wide AAU Basketball Team. The Prince William Jaguars AAU Basketball Team emphasizes the importance of continuing education, teamwork and good sportsmanship. We are looking to bring athletes into the program who understands the level of commitment and dedication needed to excel both on and off the court. The Prince William Jaguars AAU Basketball Team will participate in major tournaments that attract the best competition. Our players will be introduced to concepts that will equip them with the knowledge, skill and ability to compete at a high level. The Prince William Jaguars will also strive to increase our players’ exposure, making it possible for recruiters to see and evaluate their talent. We are committed to providing the opportunity for our players to earn a scholarship to continue their education while trying to reach their full basketball potential. The Prince William Jaguars AAU Basketball Organization, Inc consisting of teams in the 9 years old and under through 16 years old and under group teaching and developing fundamental basketball skills in a competitive atmosphere and help prepare the kids for future involvement in Prince William County’s middle school and high school basketball programs.
