» Friday, 1 p.m.: Dumfries Seniors/Retirees Monthly Group Discussion will meet in the town's Community and Cultural Arts Center, located next to the Dumfries Town Hall.

» Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon: Fall Beautification Day at Swans Creek Elementary School.

» Sunday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.: Community Blood Drive at Dumfries United Methodist Church, 3890 Cameron St., Dumfries. For an appointment, call 571-220-1981. Bloodmobile will be located in front parking lot.

» Tuesday, 7 p.m.: Dumfries Town Council holds its monthly work session in the town council chambers of town hall.

» Wednesday, 6-10 p.m.: Rolling Thunder Va. Chapter 3 meets in the Dumfries Community Center.

» Oct. 24, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.: The town of Dumfries and the Dumfries-Triangle Rescue Squad hosts its eighth Annual Fall Festival at Merchant Park, at the corner of Duke and Cameron Streets in Dumfries. The festival will include face painting, a moon bounce, a petting zoo and much more.
