Don’t miss the beautiful fall foliage at Prince William Forest Park! Enjoy the spectacular colors while participating in the following ranger-led programs.

On Saturday join Ranger Mary for a 1.5 mile, moderate to difficult hike to the site of the Taylor farm, which operated in the park from 1900 to 1940. The walk will not only focus on the history of the farm and associated store, but also on the fall foliage that is so beautiful this time of year. Meet at the Turkey Run Education Center Parking Lot at 1 p.m.

Also on Saturday, the Campfire Program is Scary Spiders!

Explore the world of amazing arachnids and spectacular spiders with Ranger Kelly. This one-hour educational talk will open your eyes to the wonderful contributions of spiders to our ecosystems. This program will start at 7 p.m. at the Oak Ridge Campground Amphitheatre.

Montclair Ladies Golf Association

The annual Turkey Shoot Tournament will be held at the Montclair Country Club on Nov. 11. The tournament format will be Captains Choice.

A continental breakfast will be served between 8 and 9 a.m., followed by a shot-gun start at 9 a.m.

At the conclusion of the tournament, a delicious turkey dinner will be served and wonderful prizes awarded. This event will take place rain or shine. Members as well as invited guests (male or female) may participate.

MPOA & sub-association news

The following committees and sub-associations will hold meetings next week: Monday, Safety, 7 p.m. and Community Events, 7:30 p.m. at the MPOA building; Tuesday, Covenants, 7 p.m. at the MPOA building; Thursday, Southlake Recreation, 7 p.m. at the Southlake Recreation Center.
