» Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.,., Battlefield High School's drama club is performing "The Magical Land of Oz." The club is doing a matinee performance Saturday at 1 p.m. Battlefield High School is at 15000 Graduation Drive, Haymarket.

» Thursday, 7 p.m., the Haymarket Town Council continues its November meeting, at 15000 Washington Street.

» Thursday, 7 to 8:30 p.m., there will be an information and planning meeting for anyone interested in helping with a fundraiser to support the Gainesville Neighborhood Library.  The meeting will be in Gravely Elementary School's library, 4670 Waverly Farm Rd., Haymarket.

» Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., St. Paul's Church, 6750 Fayette Street in Haymarket, is holding a holiday open house. Stroll through St. Paul's rectory house and experience the flavor of the holidays through tasty refresh-ments and a warm welcoming atmosphere. Shop for unique Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations, food, and gifts for friends and family, or simply treat yourself.

» Saturday, 6:30 to 9 p.m., Cork & Fork, in the Virginia Gateway Shopping Center, is hosting a "High End Holiday Happiness Festival."

» Saturday, Nov. 28, 5;30 to 7:30 p.m., the Virginia Gateway Shopping Center, at the intersection of Linton Hall Road and U.S. 29 in Gainesville, is holding holiday celebration, with a Christmas tree lighting at 7 p.m..There will be horse drawn carriage rides, face painting, music by Mr. Knick Knack and visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
