Join tour co-leader Rob Orrison, site manager for Brentsville Courthouse Historic Centre, for a Colonial PWC Van Tour on June 6.
The tour marks the 235th anniversary of the Prince William Resolves that were passed in protest to the British rule of the Colonies in 1774.
Participants will witness a recreation of the passing of the resolves in Dumfries.
Tour stops will include Bel Air, Rippon Lodge, King's Highway, Williams Ordinary, Dumfries and the Weems-Botts Museum.
The cost is $80 per person, which includes transportation, admission to all sites and a boxed lunch. Space is limited and reservations are required.

BARN yard sales continue
If you are looking for good deals and would like to help women and children in need of transitional housing, plan to shop at BARN Inc.'s yard sales. The sales run the second Saturday of the month from 8 a.m. to noon.
BARN also accepts donations. New or gently used clothing, toys, linens, knickknacks, crafts and more all can help BARN reach its goals of providing temporary housing and education to those in need.
BARN is at 9541 Linton Hall Road. Look for the big yellow truck and follow the signs to the white barn.

Mill campaign needs hel
Western PWC residents, do you know someone who can help preserve history?
Chapman's/Beverley Mill needs volunteer tour guides Saturdays and Sundays beginning in mid-June.
Interested volunteers should attend a meeting Monday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Turn The Mill Around Campaign office at 4250 Loudoun Ave. in The Plains.
There also will be a one-hour training session May 30 at 9:30 a.m. at Chapman's/ Beverley Mill. Director Ellen Percy Miller will conduct a tour in conjunction with the festivities of the 250th anniversary of Fauquier County.
Chapman's/Beverley Mill was constructed in 1742 and is one of the most important historic properties in Prince William County.
The mill is located on the Fauquier-Prince William border along Broad Run, north of Interstate 66 and Va. 55.

Grief Share scheduled
Spiritual Care Support Ministry's Bristow/Manassas satellite office offers GriefShare, a special weekly seminar and support group for those suffering from the loss of a loved one.
Through a biblical perspective, GriefShare leaders provide information on recovering from grief and on renewing hope for the future.
The Wednesday evening group meets at Manassas Assembly of God, 11500 New Life Way, from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
The group is free and non-denominational. Teens and adults are welcome. Call Chaplain Liz Danielsen at 540-349-5814 for more information.
