» Saturday, 1 to 5 p.m., Cork & Fork in the Virginia Gateway Shopping Center in Gainesville, will hold a free wine tasting featuring "Fourth of July Party wines."

» Saturday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Haymarket's Farmers' Market will open at 1525 Washington St.

» Wednesday, July 8, 10:30 a.m., Gainesville's Virginia Gateway Shopping Center's "Little Tots" club will continue its summer fun series with the "Crooked Landing Duo." The club offers free summer entertainment for kids every other Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Atlas Walk.

» Wednesday, July 8, 2 to 4 p.m., the Tea of the Month Club will meet at the Bull Run Mountain Conservancy in Haymarket. The club meets on the second Wednesday of each month for tea and a short hike.
