Church prepares for annual ‘Christmas Bazaar’

Bethel UMC’s annual “Christmas Bazaar” will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7. There will be food and events. Vendors interested in renting a table can call the church at 703-670-4929. The cost is $20 per table.

St. Elizabeth Church hold fall bazaar

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church is holding a fall bazaar on Nov. 7 and 8. Table rental is $40. Contact Mary Ann Glenn at 703-491-6311 for information.

“Moms of Preschoolers” meet next Wednesday

Old Bridge UMC’s “Moms of Preschoolers” meeting will be held at the church on Oct. 28, from 7 to 9 p.m. “Oatmeal Plus Cookies-Yummy!” is the theme, and participants will be able to prepare a “Cookies in a Jar” mix which is a great gift. Free childcare is available for mothers of children from infancy to kindergarten.

Cabin Branch Quilters welcome Debby Kratovil

Author and quilter Debby Kratovil is the guest speaker this month at the community meeting of Cabin Branch Quilters. The program is about using oversized blocks in quilt making. The meeting of CBQ is Monday, Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m. at Lake Ridge Baptist Church.

Lake Ridge Library storytime program

Lake Ridge Neighborhood Library presents “Looking at the colors of fall,” storytime program.  The event is on Oct. 28 at 10:30 a.m. at 12964 Harbor Drive. This is a drop-in program and tickets are not required. The program is appropriate for children ages 5 and younger.

NVCC offers eight-week sessions
