» Friday, 6 to 7 p.m.: Family Zumba for ages 3 at older will be at the Chinn Aquatics and Fitness Center. Zumba fuses Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a fitness program for the whole family. The fee is $15 per family with a maximum of five.
» Friday through Sunday: Friends of the Chinn Regional Library Book Sale will be from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
» Saturday, 7 p.m.: The Lorton Workhouse will host a Short Film Marathon by local and student filmmakers the Workhouse Festival Tent.
» Saturday, 6 to 9 p.m.: The Lorton Workhouse will host its Second Saturday Art Walk. The walk offers visitors an opportunity to explore the workhouse and experience the vitality, creativity and diversity of its artists. The Associa-tion of Interior Design Professionals will host a reception in conjunction with the Art Walk in W-16 from 6 to 7 p.m.
» Saturday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.: The Occoquan Farmers Market will be held at the end of Mill Street underneath the Va. 123 bridge.
» Oct. 17, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.: The Fall/Winter Children's Consignment Sale, sponsored by Old Bridge Pre-school, will be at Old Bridge United Methodist Church on Old Bridge Road.
» Oct. 13, 7 p.m.: Occoquan Town Council will meet at the Occoquan Town Hall.
» Oct. 14., 7 to 9 p.m.: The OBUMC Moms of Preschoolers' meeting will feature Karen Peak, who will speak about "Safe Kids, Safe Dogs." There is childcare provided at the meeting, which will be at Old Bridge United Methodist Church.
» Oct. 26, 7:30 p.m.: The Cabin Branch Quilters will meet at Lake Ridge Baptist Church, 12450 Clipper Drive.
