One of Manassas' most recognizable landmarks has a new occupant.

The Pink House at 9201 Prescott Ave. now houses The Pink House Antiques.

The new business is family operated by John, Bonnie and Brendan Brown.

The new facility has six rooms of furniture, collectibles and sports memorabilia. Consignments are wel-come.

The Pink House has been a familiar site in Manassas for years and formerly hosted a popular beauty salon. It has been moved three times.

Ironically, Bonnie Brown received her cosmetology training in the structure when it was the Manassas Beauty Academy. She is the longtime owner of Hair Connections Beauty Salon.

John Brown was the founder of "The Auto Exchange," which specialized in classic and exotic cars.

"Our business background should be a good fit for running the Pink House Antiques," said John Brown.

"I always thought the building would be an ideal spot for antiques … and now it is," said Bonnie Brown. She said the facility is trying to offer something affordable for everyone.

The shop is open seven days a week 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Some of the items are from estate sales attended by the family.

Brendan, an Osbourn Park graduate and ex-tournament paintball player with a nationally ranked team, is knowledgeable about many aspects of sports cards and sports memorabilia collectables.

The facility has two rooms for expansion upstairs and plenty of parking is available.

"We hope other antique shops open in the area, as potential customers like to browse through many facilities," said John Brown.
