Fire and rescue to promote members tonight
The Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue will celebrate the promotion of 31 employees and welcome two new ones, tonight at the Dr. A.J. Ferlazzo Building in Woodbridge.
The 7 p.m. ceremony is open to the public and will honor new hires, as well as uniformed officers who are being promoted to Firefighter Technician II, Lieutenant, Captain and Battalion Chief, stated Department of Fire and Rescue spokeswoman Kim Hylander.
The department is made up of 506 members, both from career and volunteer members, who are charged with fighting fires and responding to disaster situations and medical emergencies throughout the county.
