- Wednesday, 6:30 p.m.: Project Mend-A-House will host its annual “Taste of the Town — Prince William County-Style” dinner at the VFW Post 1503. The suggested donation is $25. - Saturday, Oct. 17, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Rippon Lodge will hold its 7th Annual Harvest Festival. Enjoy crafts, performances, living history demonstrations, activities, games, food and music. Learn about local history through displays and living history. Admission is $5 per person; children younger than 2 are free. No reservations are required. For more information, call 703-499-9812. - Saturday, Oct. 17, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Celebrate National Wildlife Refuge Week at the Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge in Woodbridge. Join a ranger and ham radio operators to learn about bird migration and the world of ham radio. The entrance fee is $2 per car. Pets are prohibited.
