I was pleased to see The News & Messenger endorse Del. Paul Nichols as the candidate for the 51st District.

Pastor Luke Torian in the 52nd District delegate campaign has shown how his long and faithful service in Prince William County qualifies him to be elected.

The News & Messenger endorsement of Luke Torian was incorrect.

Since Dr. Luke Torian announced his candidacy for the House of Delegates 52nd District seat, he has made a determined effort to meet and talk with Republican, independent and Democratic voters of the district.

I am so tired of politicians who make campaign promises and then vote completely contrary to those promises.

After observing the various issues and the solutions presented by political candidates during recent debates, I was impressed with Republicans.

John Bell can be an outstanding member of the Virginia House of Delegates. He can provide great, effective representation for Prince William County.

Rich Anderson made a minor mistake in distributing the arrest information regarding Democratic Del. Paul Nichols, but that does not take away the fact there was a confrontation between Nichols and the police in North Carolina. 

I am disappointed but not shocked at the News & Messenger not endorsing incumbent state Del. Bob Marshall.

Your selection of Democrat Luke Torian in the 52nd District was an unfortunate blow to those of us who strive to keep our families, communities and churches strong.

I’m writing to ask you to support my husband John Bell on Nov. 3 in his candidacy for the Virginia House of Delegates. 

What every community needs is someone like Pastor Luke Torian.

When Rich Anderson first came to me and asked me how he should run his campaign for 51st District delegate, I told him to knock on doors till he wore out his shoes.

I am astounded by how little thought and research Mr. Lopez has put into his transportation plan.

Rich Anderson’s campaign manager, Reece Collins, says that Del. Paul Nichols, who runs a law firm employing 40 people, isn’t “a real businessman” because he doesn’t build anything, produce widgets or add value to anything.

The candidate who wants to unseat Paul Nichols really seems to be taking his cue from the Karl Rove school of politics.

I am disappointed that this paper endorsed John Bell in the 13th over Del. Bob Marshall. The paper’s position that Bob needs to be more “influential” with the leadership is contrary to his long-standing record as a delegate.

Citizens of the 50th House District are being asked to choose between a candidate with a long history of service to others and a candidate who has zero history of public service.

Your paper endorsed John Bell because Del. Bob Marshall lost influence in Richmond for not “toeing the line?”

Join me in voting John Bell for 13th District Delegate on Nov 3. 

I am stunned at the despicable, deplorable Rich Anderson campaign.

I just saw a TV ad for Del. Paul Nichols in which a jail cell door is closing on Rich Anderson after claims of wrongdoing.

I write in support of Del. Bob Marshall for the 13th District House seat. 

I read an editorial in this paper last week endorsing John Bell for delegate over long-time incumbent Bob Marshall.

Eighteen-year member of the House of Delegates Bob Marshall has done an exemplary job.

As a first-time writer and over 25-year subscriber to this newspaper, I would like to encourage support for Rafael Lopez for the 52nd District. Mr. Lopez is a conservative and a pro-life family man.

I’d like to offer my recommendations on the House of Delegates races.

I am appalled to learn that unprofessional campaign tactics occur in my own backyard.

Our soldiers are daily giving their lives for our country in Iraq and Afghanistan.

In your Oct. 20 endorsement of Ken Cuccinelli for Attorney General, one of your principal reasons given was his ability to take on the full responsibility of the job.
